The south face of the Potala and Marpori (dmar po ri) seen from a distance. The wall that surrounds Zhöl (zhol) village and the main gate (gzhung sgo) is visible. The outer Zhöl pillar (rdo ring phyi ma) and the two Khangser (khang ser), with Chinese pagoda-style roofs, are in front of the main gate, with Kelzang bridge (bskal bzang zam pa) in front of them. In the foreground is a grassy meadow with trees and some animals walking along a trail on the left side of the image.
