The Drametse Ngacham has both religious and cultural significance as it is believed to have originally been performed by the heroes and heroines of the celestial world. In the 19th century, Drametse Ngacham were introduced in other parts of Bhutan. In the 19th century, Drametse Ngacham were introduced in other parts of Bhutan. In honour of Padmasambhava, a Buddhist guru, Drametse Ngacham was performed and the culture of Drametse cummunity. The tradition got popular and performed all across the country . Dancers dressed in monastic robes and with wooden mask real and mythical animals flat drum and the nga chen, a drum beaten with a bended drumstick.The Drametse Ngacham has both religious and cultural significance as it is believed to have originally been performed by the heroes and heroines of the celestial world.
