Zhana Dance celebrates the assassination of the Tibetan King Langdarma in 842 A.D. by a Buddhist monk called Lhalung Pelki Dorji. The monk had hidden the bow and arrows in the folds of his long sleeves. This dance can also be referred to as “Gar” dance. It is derived from a different tradition of the tantras.
