The outer Zhöl pillar, Doring Chima (rdo ring phyi ma), with an inscription visible on the upper portion of its southern face. The Chinese-style roof of one of the two Khangser (khang ser) buildings flanking the pillar can be seen in the bottom of the image, with part of the Potala in the background.
