by Jessica O'Leary
A street in Lhasa's Barkor (bar skor), with the Mission's horses on the left. A shop and awning have been set up next to a tall building in the center of the image. Plants can be seen on the edges of the building's second story windows. This may have been the occasion of a visit to one of the aristocratic families that lived in the Barkor, in the vicinity of the Jokhang (jo khang) temple.Associated Resources
