The western gate of Lhasa, Bargo Kaling (bar sgo ka ling), seen from the east. The gate is comprised of three reliquary monuments, or stupa (Sanskrit) or chöten (mchod rten) in Tibetan. The foot of Marpori (dmar po ri) can be seen to the right. Livestock and people can be seen in front of the gate, and children stand watching the photographer in the bottom right of the image.Associated Resources
