The chams are religiousley introduced to make understand the reality of the existence what is and bad. Due to our illusion we asume the things in a wrong notion. To resolve the negative notion of the seeing things and clearing of illusion the chams are probably displayed to the public. This dance is called Bardo the dance of an intermidiate state.
