Various chams have their own significants and historical importance when comes to this particular cham it is known as Tungym dance or the chams to awaken from world of unrealistic illusion. This cham ritual is to clear away ones evil deeds and shows the way to liberation. Tungym is quite unique from rest of the dances in Bhutan. They are dressed with thick and long sleeves cloth with the wooden mythical animal mask. They holds the sword in their hands to symbolize that they are the undefeated protector gods who came to the human world to pay their selfless services.
