Shem was established locally by some young women from three regions of Tibet. Shem is a group that is dedicated to empowering Tibetan women and their communities through grassroot develoment. Their main focus is to deliver better education, capacity building, health care and better opportunities to women who live in rural communities of Tibet. These are four members from Shem Group (from left to right), Rigzin Gyid, Droma Tso, Tashi Lhamo and Lhamo Tso.
