More than two hundred people attended the Shem Women's Writing Competition. Most of those in the audience were university students from schools in Xining. According to the interviews conducted by students participatns, this is the first ever writing competition that was specially organized for women in Tibetan areas. Therefore they wish that more competition like this can be offered to more Tibetan women and women in different social contexts.
