The image is located inside Srong btsan sgam po's meditation cave at Pha bong kha. Dpal lha mo is said to have appeared to the king as he was meditating here. She later intervened when Glang dar ma tried to destroy this temple. Another version of this deity (identified with Dpal ldan lha mo) is to be found on one of the top floors of the Potala.Associated Resources
